After sharing her own story of surviving Sexual abuse, Sarah Rice, of MTV’s Real World Brooklyn and Real World/Road Rules Challenges, realized the importance of speaking out. With statistics saying 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually abused before the age of 18, and with an estimated 39 million victims of sexual abuse in the United States (RAINN 2009) the importance of confronting this issue is undeniable. Sarah dedicates her speaking events to changing one’s mindset from VICTIM to SURVIVOR and how through putting together our broken pieces, we realize our strength. Sarah specializes as a college and high school speaker working with students, parents and educators to empower individuals to have safer, healthier, and more respectful relationships. Sarah also talks about how following your dreams and embracing your uniqueness are key elements in personal growth and recovery. Whether speaking to males, females, fraternity's, sorority's, co-ed programs or student athletes, Sarah’s friendly and optimistic attitude is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
