Survivor Justice Campaign

Legislative Issues Reform

A main reason for the prevalence of sexual violence in our society is the inability of our criminal justice system to provide justice for victims and survivors. Sexual violence is one of the most underreported crimes due to strong victim blaming and disbelief at all levels of the legal system, from police to district attorneys. PAVE’s Survivor Justice Campaign was created to protest the resulting injustices to victims in the criminal justice system by demanding improved responses and services for survivors.

The goal of the Survivor Justice Campaign is to end unfair or unscrupulous policies, legislation, or legal practices against victims or survivors of sexual violence. PAVE advocates on behalf of any individual affected by sexual violence from victims to their community by utilizing grassroots action demanding reform at federal, state, and institutional levels.
